How does time fly so fast?

Since my last post, it has been 10 long years. I am still here; alive and kicking. No nearer to being in shape or happy with my physical body but I am still trying. Life has changed a lot in the last 10 years. My Jalyssa is married to Kade Kerby from Arizona and  Denver is married to Bethany Cousineau from Wisconson. They are very happy with their chosen spouses and thriving in their marriages. They all live within 3 miles of us and I love having them around.

Kade and Jalyssa have bought a home in Magna and have been settling in quite nicely. We love having them so near. They have 2 rambunctios pups who keep them busy. Still working on the human kind.

Denver and Bethany are going on 2 years of marriage and are so cute and fun to have around. They make everyone happy around them.

One day soon they hope to expand their family as well. With Kelly and I the age of Grandparents, we too can't wait for this to happen; for any of our children. My youngest Daughter, Mariah is my joy and my hang out buddy since she is not married yet and still living at home. We do stuff together all the time together and I love every minute of it. We do clash occasionally, but we are quick to forgive. We are too much alike sometimes.
We take trips and go kayaking and enjoy quality time together. So last but definitely not least is my amazing husband. He is my rock, my love, my everything.

The NEVER ending cycle of trying to lose weight...

Here I am once again, wanting to lose weight, it truly is a never ending cycle. I have lost weight before and felt so good about myself, then alas I sabotage myself and gain it back and then rinse and repeat.

This was me at one of my heaviest times, you can really see it in my face. I hate looking like that!! Why do I do that to myself? I have made some improvements over time, but am still not where I want to be. I have many changes that need to be made.

We are going to Hot Yoga and that is really helping with my stretching and moving abilities and we love it. Who'd have thunk it? I am also trying to eat better. Some days I do really well and others I cave in to cravings. I think it is an addiction to food, because I really crave it. Yet when I am eating better and starting to notice I love that feeling even more. Here is another picture of when I thought I looked good. Still doing my favorite hobby of eating, of course.

I am hoping to beat the cycle and make some positive changes to my life and to my body. My mental health needs work too, to fix the addiction to food and find other ways to reward myself for things. It will be hard, but worth it in the end.

I want to be able to enjoy my later years without all the aches and pains that come with getting older. I want to be healthy and happy with myself. So putting it in writing might help it happen. Wish me luck!!

The year is 2022 and so much of life is flying by. Is life the same as it ever was, that is impossible. Life is forever changing and will continue to do so. It has been just a bit; like almost 9 years since I have even thought about this blog. I loved writing it and loved telling about my favorite things, so why haven't I touched it in so long? After my Mom passed in 2010, it was too hard to write things down. I did a couple of posts, but I had no passion for it to continue. I feel like no one sees or reads it anyway, it is just a way for me to preserve my thoughts and feelings and share some things I love. Most importantly my family and friends. I think that Facebook has replaced a lot of blogs, that is where we tend to put things now days, so blogs get forgotten, at least in my case.

I am still married to my incredible Husband, we are going on over 35 years now and couldn't be happier together. Over the last 13 years, many things have been great and some things have been tough, but together we get through it all. He is my rock, my friend, my counselor and my life coach. He wants nothing but the best for me and vice versa. We make it work as team. I want to update about my children, maybe I will do that in individual posts for each of them. I am so very blessed and happy. Could things improve? 100% yes, but I am content and that is all that matters!!

Too long....

Holy smokes, it has been over a year since my last addition to this blog, that's crazy!! My last time was in August 2018.
I really should be more attentive to an easy place to have an outlet. I love looking back and see what I have posted, so silly me; why not post more often??  I WILL DO IT!!
I love reading other people's blogs, doing a little blog stocking. I have found so many wonderful ideas and activities on blogs, it is one of my favorite things to do. So I suppose this should make me want to update my own. It should be a reflection of me and the things I like to do.

So wish me luck. It is easy to blog at work, but to include pictures I have to do it at home. So that is what I will try to do... Hey? I wonder if I can do it on my phone? I will have to look in to that...

This picture shows my life, I love to eat. I plan my day around what I am going to eat, I think about what I am going to eat ahead of time and always want to be eating. Sadly this picture was at a time that I had lost some weight, sadly I am not there anymore. I have gained 50+ pounds back. I feel horrible all time and my knees are suffering for it. My clothes aren't fitting and I really need to make some changes.

I have started today with a Biggest Loser Challenge with some friends. It costs $20 to join and they charge $1.00 a llb, if you gain. We have to weigh in each week by sending a picture of us on the scale to document our weight loss. So I am going to do my very best. I really need to lose some weight before I dare go to a Dr. to talk about having my knees done. So wish me luck!!

Been a while.....

It sure has been a while, I am not sure I even remember how to do this. I guess I will give it my best shot and see how it goes. Life has been good and life has been crazy, but isn't that how it works. We make plans and God laughs. I have heard that life is what happens while you are making plans. I suppose that is how it really is.
I have a blessed life, an incredible family, a sexy Husband who I adore and so many good friends I don't deserve. How can I complain. I can't so I won't!! The year is 2018 and time has flown by at such an alarming rate it hardly seems possible.
My children have grown in to responsible contributing adults, who have my respect and friendship. They are some of the very best, and I am lucky to be their Mother. I will catch you up a bit on my next post, if I get this one to work. Wish me luck!

Chit Chat

I came across this post on a blog-stalking morning, and I loved every word of it. I try to be this kind of person, and I have tried to teach my kids to be these kind of people. I have tried to teach my kids that you can find something nice to say about anyone, and make them feel noticed and special. It should become second nature to you and something you do without even thinking. I love the way this lady was described and how she treated everyone. I strive to be this kind of person everyday, and you should too..... Enjoy!! Chit-chat. That's what I grew up calling it. You know, when you go somewhere and people are just making small talk with one another? Chit-chat. It sounds like such a simple thing-small talk. It isn't though. Maybe it used to be, but we have grown so cold and hardened that even something as simple as small talk feels like a burden. It really seems like a dying art. I confess that it is something EXTREMELY hard for me to do. Just the thought of carrying on a conversation with someone I don't know is enough to put me in a cold sweat. Seriously. However, when I have done it, it has been very rewarding. Today I saw a lady who had mastered the art of chit chat. She was AMAZING!! She was a checker-outer-person at the grocery store (I never know what those people are called...). EVERY SINGLE PERSON who went through her lane responded and opened up to her friendly chatter! I KID YOU NOT!! You could see some that were reticent at first, but no one stood a chance. She was that good. I actually switched lanes so that I could go through her line. haha! She chatted about her kids, other people's children, an item being purchased, a hat someone was wearing, a woman's hair-do and one guy's choice of cigarettes. She didn't grin foolishly or inappropriately. She wasn't laughing like an idiot. She was just happy and pleasant. On the way home I tried to figure out WHY she was so successful at chatting it up with complete strangers. I think I stumbled on to at least one way to do this successfully. PAY ATTENTION. Whatever conversation she started with someone was always pertinent to them. She noticed a detail and used that as an opener. It's a well known fact that most people are overly eager to discuss themselves. Why not use this? She did. It does a couple of things. The first thing it does is make you aware of someone other than yourself (and can't we ALL use a little bit more of that?!). The second thing it does is crack the other person's shell. They were NOTICED!! What a lovely thing to be! I think these elements are key in unlocking the art of chit--chat. Perhaps there are other ways to converse with strangers successfully. I haven't seen any that I can recall, but I bet they do those two things. Something to think about anyway. Maybe this week we could all try a little chit-chat with someone we don't know. It will not only brighten your day and heart to make that small connection, but it will DEFINITELY bring a small bit of joy to another's heart. Go ahead, try it more than once! Charlotte Mason (who is one of my heroes) said, ""The thought which defiles a man behaves in precisely the same way as that which purifies: the one, as the other, develops, matures, and increases after its kind." BASICALLY it means that whichever thoughts we choose to allow will grow and multiply more like it. So, if we want to be warm and caring individuals, start THINKING warm and caring thoughts. Soon these thoughts will grow and multiply (much like a living organism) and won't have to try so hard. Just imagine how wonderful that would be! A world with more caring and kind people!!! Just lovely.

It Sucks to Be Broke!!

As my heading says.... It sucks to be broke!! Now don't misunderstand me, it's not us that is broke. For once in our lives we are on top of the game and have a little savings and enough money for our bills and things we need. I am so grateful to my husband for working REALLY hard to get us to this point. It has been a really long time coming and he helps keep my spending under control. But.... a lot of people I know are really struggling and still learning how to manage their money. I know personally it is not easy in any way.
It is hard to see your children struggle and learn these lessons the hard way.
It seems that young marrieds these days have an expectation of wanting everything we as parents have worked and struggled for. They want it all now, and don't understand why they can't have it. We worked hard for the things we have. We earned them and deserve them. In my opinion, they don't!! Not yet anyway, one day it will be their turn. Jobs will come and go, money will come and go too. It is a challenge for everyone to go through. Just expressing a few little thoughts... Take it as you will....

Peter Pan Syndrome

I recently had the opportunity to read a blog posted by a dear family member. The things she talked about really got me thinking.... She talked about the Peter Pan syndrome, and how we really don't want to grow up. Many of the things she touched on really got me thinking and pondering my life. Sometimes I feel this way, it kind of scares me to think about being a real grown up, and having to make all the decisions. But as I ponder this even more, I think what comes to mind is not the fact of growing older, it's the part of being the oldest and the responsible one. I don't mind being the oldest, but I don't necessarily like being in charge. I dread the day when my Father passes away for more than the obvious reasons. It means I become the matriarch of the family. When all your Grandparents are gone, and then your Parents, it means you are the oldest generation. I am not ready for that in any way.... I know this may not all make sense but it is in my head and I wanted to get it down somehow and express how I feel.

Now another thought along similar lines.... In my head I still feel like a young teenager, and still have dreams and desires of things I would like to accomplish but, life has a way of sneaking in and stealing time and before you know it half your life is gone. I will turn 50 this year and that scares the crap out of me. Don't get me wrong, I have had a wonderful life and  95% of the things I have done I would not change.  There are a few things I would have done differently... like complete college, and have a career that would have improved our income throughout the years. But looking back, I think I was right where I needed to be and experienced the things that made me who I am today. I actually like who I am, and am quite pleased with my choices and friends that have helped we become who I am today. Yet secretly in my head, I am still that little girl with big dreams and desires and wanting acceptance from all those around me.

I am sure that everyone has some these same thoughts rambling around in their heads. I know I am not alone. A couple of quotes I really like are "Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans."
John Lennon and  "We must be willing to let go of the life we have planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us." E. M. Forster  This is so true...I have had a wonderful life and am looking forward to many more years wether I want to grow up or not. Which I will do eventually, Peter Pan syndrome or not; for now I am going to enjoy every day and live life to its fullest!! I am incredibly blessed with my amazing husband, my incredible children and friends and family who make my life complete. Thanks for listening to my ramblings, and for making me smile everyday!!

The legacy must stop!!

We all start with a mental attitude when beginning a weight loss journey - I can do this. It runs smoothly over the next few days, weeks, months, for some of us, even years. This is me at my thinnest..
Well, this time around for me - the attitude hasn't shown itself yet. I know I want to - no, NEED to change my ways. Get healthier. Slim. Active. Because if I don't, I will never be able to be happy with myself, and will never be able to feel comfortable in my own skin. So... Why is it so hard? Why do I KNOW that something has to change, but yet.. I don't change it? Why do I continue to put off eating healthier, going to the gym, losing weight, and in the long run, being happy? I don't understand & I don't know how to get & stay motivated, even though I'm depressed & disappointed in myself almost 24/7. Shouldn't that be motivation enough? I guess I feel like no matter what I do, I'm trapped. I'm stuck in this body that will continuously get bigger, not smaller, my entire life. I feel as if anything I do won't help, and to spare the pain & disappointment of nothing happening, I just don't start in the first place. I don't want to give up on this journey, but how can I when I haven't even began?? I have been here before, and have tried other methods to lose weight. I have attempted to eat better, that is short lived, and I have done the HCG craze which worked short term, but sadly the weight came back. I am getting older and my health should be reason enough. Diabetes has run rampant on my Mother's side of the family, and if I don't do something NOW, I will most likely continue the legacy. I have got to make a change, for myself and for my children and my grandchildren. My Mom passed way to soon, and I do not want to do this to my children. I could never forgive myself. And now back at my heaviest.....
Just a depressed rant, I suppose... If anyone has any advice, I'd gladly take it

My Little Boy is Married.... (April 20, 2013)

I can't believe this day has come and gone... My incredible son has gotten married to the girl of his dreams... Brianne Rowley Killpack has joined our family and I could not be happier. She makes Denver laugh and giggle more than ever. They take good care of each other and make a really good team. I love them both so much and know they will make it, despite all those newlywed struggles and adventures. Like being poor, no decent jobs, living in a one room studio apartment. They will make it, we have all been there. Patience is the most important thing to remember. They are happy and that is the most important. I am so proud of both of you, and could not happier for you
. Keep working together and I promise life will be wonderful and you will find more joy than you ever thought possible. I love you... Mom

What direction am I heading??

I am in a point in my life where I feel like I am moving in a whole new direction, and that is not neccesarily a good thing. I am approaching 50 at an alarming rate and not sure how I feel about it. I am not in the greatest shape, being overweight and knees that ache from arthritis. Otherwise I feel pretty good. In general my health is ok, just starting to feel older. In my head I am still feeling young. I have the desire to do many things, and that includes physical things, but my body is not so willing. It sucks getting older, and starting to slow down. I think I need to set some realistic goals and figure out how to make by body more in tune with my mind. I know I need to start walking and moving more. This would be a good start. I want to lift weights at the gym, but I don't want to do it alone. Maybe a good goal would be to find someone to go with me. I really need to begin watching what I eat, and taking my supplements, like my Husband has so lovingly bought for me. I know they will help my body and help me feel better. So there is a big slap to the forehead, Doh!! Maybe by writing it down on this blog, I might actually have to make some effort and be accountable for it. So if anyone happens to read this, check to see how I am doing... I know lots of people are in the same boat as me, and yet we all seem to be in denial about it. Why can't we all work together and support each other. I know that all sounds good in theory, but it really is a personal thing. It will never work unless you personally are on board and really want it. Or it becomes a life threatening thing and you need to lose weight or really suffer. I think it is time to really take it seriously... I will let you know in awhile how it is going. I am going to set a goal to try and lose 10pds by the end of November. So wish me luck....

Big changes this year......

I am feeling very overwhelmed with life right now, we have had so many changes this year. I feel like I can barely keep up.
My sweet Denver got married to a lovely girl, Brianne Rowley. It was lots of work, but totally worth it. I never realized how happy it makes you to see your children be worthy to be married in the Temple and be sealed to their sweet heart forever. I am so proud of them. It is not going to be an easy road, they will have challenges and trials, but I know they can make it through anything together.
Jalyssa is growing up, she has graduated from college with her associates degree and a photography certificate. It was a lot of hard work for her, but I am so proud of her for accomplishing this incredible task. She is still living with roomates and she seems to be the rock who holds the entire group together. She is the mentor, the mom, and the counselor. She takes on the responsibilities for the bills being paid and all the important decisions. She would love to have a more active dating life, and can't wait for the right boy to come along. I keep reassuring her that the Lord is preparing the right one, and she just needs to be patient. She is doing what she is supposed to, following the commandments, and doing everything to make herself worthy, she just needs to be patient.
My baby Mariah is also growing up way to fast... She has graduated High School, and is now attending Snow College. She is doing incredible. Making big decisions, and learning to live in the real world. She is making me so proud. I also have had changes, I am no longer working at the school (Brockbank). It was a hard decision, and one I did not take lightly. Kelly and I decided that I should find full time work so we could pay down some bills, and save for our future. Luckily, I have found work with St. Marks Heart Center. I work with some incredible people who have been so kind and have been training me well. I really like working with Senior citizens, it is so similiar to working with the youth. But I am happy and am really learning a lot.
I am still serving in YW's and know that for now it is where I need to be. Some days I get really burned out, and have challenges with people, but working with the girls is always special and never boring!! Kelly is still with Rio Tinto, and loves it. He works with the best boss, and co workers. He enjoys it so much. We are grateful for jobs we enjoy and that makes life so much easier.
The other big change for us, is being empty nesters for the most part. We still have Connie, and she is wonderful. But most of the time, we are alone. It is a good thing we love each other, and love to be together. We have fun, and really are liking our alone time. Life is always changing and that is a good thing........

Wedding Planning.....

Our son Denver is getting married and planning a wedding is a lot more work, then I ever thought possible. Denver's bride is Estella "Brianne" Rowley. We are very excited for them. Unfortunately, we found out the her Parents in Georgia have no funds to pay for a reception, so it has all fallen to us. I am happy to do this for them, so my planning began right away.... But beleive me, I never imagined how much was involved. We had a very minimal budget and without going in to a lot of detail, I think we have accomplished it. I will promise to post pictures after...

Sunday, March 24, 2013

So I guess it's about time that I start blogging again... I have not wanted to since my Mom passed away, 2 and 1/2 years ago. It just hasn't felt right. I still am grieving and I know this might be a way to express some of my emotions, and besides I don't think anyone reads this anymore anyway. So why not give my self an outlet. I have posted this picture of my Husband and I because he is my rock, and I would not make it through everyday without him by my side. He is my everything and I love him with all my heart...I have amazing children who I absolutely adore, and are my whole world too, I would do anything for them. We are a very close family and love being together. This is so unique in today's world. I see so much sadness and neglect every day and it breaks my heart. Children with no respect for their Parents and Parents who have not earned that respect through their actions. It is a sad sad world we live in. Believe me my kids are not perfect and neither are we as parents but we love and respect each other, and it makes for such a happier existence. I want to begin blogging again, so I can share all the wonderful things happening in our lives. We have so many things coming in the next few months and I am so proud of my children and all the accomplishments they are achieving. I will explain more later... thanks for listening...

Our Summer Continued.............

I have all ready posted about our Fabulous Girls Camp, so I do not need to repeat anything there, so let's move on to our next adventures. We were able to do a lot of camping this Summer, and we enjoyed every minute. We went to Coalville with Gillian, Melinda, and all our kids. Kind of a Girls Trip, we had tons of fun and enjoyed being away from it all. We swam, and swam, and swam. The pool was our favorite past-time.

We also enjoyed the 4th of July parade on Magna's Main St. Denver was in the parade with the cast of "Annie", he loved it! He had so much fun, it was a long run, but he loved every minute. He would love to be in another play.
We did our annual Grandmas camp up in Coalville. It was an amazing week, we swam, we went boating at Rockport Resevoir and played in the water. Everyone had a blast, the girls were a little crazy. No shocker there!!
There is still so much to talk about, but I will post for now, and continue on in another post. You can see it was a fun filled summer!!

Summers almost over.......but it has been a blast!!

We began the Summer with our Ward Youth Conference. Rafting down the Colorado river. It was an amazing, yet terrifying experience. Our youth and leaders all had a blast and grew closer together. We enjoyed screams and thrills, and also enjoyed the sweet whisperings of the spirit, and beautiful testimonies. This was one of my favorite summer activities, and can't wait to do it again. Our next adventure was boating on Willard Bay with G&G Drummond. Grandpa loves his boat and loves taking the Grandkids out on the lake. The weather was beautiful and the kids love being adventurous on the tube. They are so daring. Even Denver was more adventurous this year, I was so proud of him. I can not ride the tube anymore it hurts my knees, alas the issues with growing old. But no worries, I still have tons of fun. Jalyssa and Dad loved riding together and jumping the waves like real professionals, Mariah is also a little daredevil, and loved trying to do tricks, but we loved watching her crash and fly off. It was awesome!!. Our next Summer memory was camping at Burriston Ponds in Mona, Utah. We went with our friends John and Melinda Klugiewics and Mariah and her friend Amanda. Denver and Jalyssa were unable to go, Jalyssa was in Texas, and Denver was still doing the play Annie. So just the six of us, had crazy fun. The camp was perfect, right by the pond for easy fishing access, which they totally took advantage of. But, the best was the rope swing into the pond. We had so much fun, swinging and swimming in the ponds. The girls were crazy, ALL the time, but they kept us entertained. We loved the peace and quiet, until somebody across the way decided to run their compressor night and day. You should of seen us trying to swing into the lake, we looked like dead fish on a rope, or more like a pinata. Kelly was the only one who looked studly, my own personal Tarzan. it was good times, with good friends and made for a fabulous weekend, and somewhere I definitely want to go again. Thanks John and Melinda for sharing your camping spot, and for bringing the dogs, they definitely made the weekend. Look at the smile on Melinda she is so beautiful, and check out my sexy Husband, he can swing by me anytime. You can see it was a fabulous trip. Our next adventures will be on the next post, it is hard to do such a long post, but hey we had tons of fun this summer and I want to show it all. So here it comes next!!

Becoming an Eight Cow Young Woman....Girls Camp 2010

We had so much fun at Girls Camp this year. We loved every minute of it. The Stake theme was "Becoming an Eight Cow Young Woman" based on the Johnny Lingo movie. They did such a great job following the theme and with the decorations. Each of the values was represented by wards. Our ward was Faith so our color was white. We had cute decorations and super cute T-shirts (by my brother, Todd) and everything went great. Our young women are amazing, they all get along with no contentions and problems. It is such a joy to be with them, and to feel the spirit they exude. I love them so much. Our leaders get to enjoy every minute instead of having to referee problems.

We have an incredible camp director for our ward, Yeah Melinda, who happens to be one of my best friends. Such a joy to work with and so organized and on top of things. I love her and her amazing smile. Thank you, thank you my friend for making camp such an incredible experience for everyone. We will be forever in your debt. Thanks to all the girls for your cooperation and laughter and patience. You made camp hilarious and exciting. Thanks for your tender spirits and testimonies you shared as well, you make us all proud. Well, now to the future......we start planning for next year. MOOOOOOOO!!!!

Technology passes the Mama by and we have a new addition.....

We have a new additon to our family.... I never thought it would happen, but I guess stranger things have happened. We are now the proud owners of a gorgeous Shitzu puppy. His name is Mozie. He is more fun than I ever thought possible. He is well behaved and doesn't bark and 80% of the time does his business outside. Mariah needed a new buddy since Jalyssa moved out to college. This just fell into our laps, and we could not resist. Everyone loves him and Denver has even adjusted to him. Connnie loves the company during the day, and it gives her a reason to get up and move during the day. I have really been pleased with the whole outcome.

Things are just moving along in our little family, Jalyssa is enjoying school and doing well. She loves all the socializing and the college life. I am so proud of her.
Mariah is doing well in school, she has been overwhelmed a little with all the demands on her,but she did incredible in the school play. They did the Music Man and she played the part of Mrs. Paroo. She really nailed it, everyone said she got the accent down perfectly. We were so proud of her, she worked really hard and it showed. Elder Killpack is coming up quickly to the close of his Mission. My how time has flown by. He will finish the end of January, and he will really be missed by everyone on his mission, and they have truly grown to love him.

I have just been doing what I do best...work, young womens, clean house, take care of my family, and hang out with my best friends. I love everything I do, and everyone I do it with. I am still working on learnig the computer and it is a slow process, although I have coined a new phrase, it is "Techno Tard". That is me!! There are so many new things coming out that I am being left behind; fast and furiously. My children know so much more than I, it is amazing. I am lucky if I can remember how to turn on the computer. With Blogs, and facebook, and twittering and so many things I have never heard of, I am truly a techno tard. This blog and facebook are all I have learned to attempt, with a small amount of skill. I know there are things that I am missing out on even on these sights. I do not know how to post videos, and I can not figure out how to post pics on facebook, I just can not get it to work. Luckily, I still have my cell phone and I definately know how to use it.
Kelly has been the rock of our Family and helps us stick with our budget. He has also been working on a side job, doing plumbing and has realized he is not as young as he once was. It takes a toll on your body, but he is strong and is doing a great job, and feels good about putting his skills to use, besides making some extra cash.

We are all looking forward to Christmas. This year has been stress free and totally worth all the sacrfices to make it that way. I love spending the Holidays with Family and Friends. I doubt that I will blog again before Christmas... So Happy Holidays to all and have the Merriest of Christmas's and a Fabulous New Year!!!

Life is flying by.....and I am hanging on for dear life!

I do not think I would ever make it without this fabulous group of friends. I am so grateful to have them all in my life. We all come from very different backgrounds are all dyfunctinal in our own special ways. That is probably why we are all drawn together. We have so much fun when we are together, and we love every minute of it. We are there in the hard times, and there in the good times, our own little support group. With life flying by so fast, it is good to have something solid to hang on too. And let me tell you these girls are it!
We have had such a crazy summer, and it is nice to have it behind us, and I think we are ready to settle down, and just be....But life doesn't work that way. Just when you think things are going to be calm, someone swings a bat at your window (literally), and the terror takes over. I think that it is good that we do not know the future. Because at this point, I don't think I could handle it. We never know what is around the corner. My family and friends are the most important things in my life. I just want everyone to be safe and happy. Is that so wrong? I am feeling very frustrated with life right now, and I am on edge. This makes me weary and not at my best, so be patient with me. Again, I thank my friends and family for putting up with me, and keeping me from losing it all together.

Don't blink, or 4 months will disappear...

Where did the time go? I have been so consumed by millions of things the last four months, I think I blinked and they were gone! Does this happen to everyone? I think so. From this beautiful picture you can see that Jalyssa has graduated from High School, and is ready to move on with life. When did that happen?
Oquirrh Temple Celebration was a huge success and all our kids did fantastic, singing and dancing their hearts out. They made us so proud.
The kids have all enjoyed serving in the Temple and we look forward to the dedication. What a great blessing in our lives.
My cute Hubby flexing his muscles, on a quick boating day with Grandpa and Grandma D. We had a blast and have the sunburns to prove it! We were so happy, when the weather finally turned warm by the end of June. Hopefully we will get in a few more boat trips this summer. Please Grandpa? My next entry will be exclusively about our Pioneer Trek adventure, so tune in soon, I may get a chance to blog again real soon............
